Elena Izotova is a ballroom dance professional, certified yoga instructor, and aerial arts coach with a lifelong passion for movement, performance, and helping others build confidence through physical expression.
Born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Elena began ballroom dancing at the age of 12 and spent years training in Rhythm, Smooth, and Club Style dances. Her extensive dance background has given her a deep understanding of musicality, posture, partner connection, body mechanics, and the technical foundations that allow dancers to move with confidence and grace.
At Fox Ballroom, Elena works with students of all experience levels, from complete beginners taking their first steps onto the dance floor to experienced dancers looking to refine their technique. Her patient and encouraging teaching style helps students feel comfortable while developing the skills needed to become confident social dancers and performers.
In addition to ballroom dance, Elena is a certified yoga instructor specializing in Yin Yoga, where she focuses on flexibility, mobility, recovery, mindfulness, and overall wellness. Her knowledge of movement and body awareness allows her to help students improve not only their dancing, but also their strength, balance, and physical well-being.
Elena also teaches Aerial Lyra (Hoop) and Aerial Silks, combining athleticism, artistry, and creativity to help students safely explore aerial movement in a supportive environment.
Students appreciate Elena's calm demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to break down complex movements into approachable steps. Whether teaching ballroom dance, yoga, or aerial arts, her goal is to create an enjoyable learning experience that helps every student feel stronger, more confident, and empowered to achieve their goals.
When she's not teaching, Elena continues to study movement, wellness, and performance disciplines, bringing fresh knowledge and enthusiasm to every lesson she teaches.
