Douglas Dombrowik, Fox Ballroom owner and instructor

Douglas Dombrowik

Owner & Instructor

Doug Dombrowik is the owner of Fox Ballroom Dance Studio and a professional ballroom dance instructor with a passion for performance, creativity, and helping students achieve goals they never thought possible.

After opening Fox Ballroom in 2017, Doug built the studio around a simple philosophy: exceptional instruction, a welcoming community, and a commitment to helping every student grow with confidence. While he enjoys teaching all American and Club Style dances, his competitive specialty is the Cabaret/Theatre Arts Division, where storytelling, athleticism, and artistic expression come together on the dance floor.

Throughout his competitive career, Doug has earned recognition at some of the most prestigious events in the ballroom world. His accomplishments include placing 5th at Ohio Star Ball, 6th at the United States Dance Championships (USDC) National and World Championships, and being crowned the South Open Rising Star Champion. In 2019, he was a Semifinalist at the Blackpool Dance Festival World Championship, one of the most respected and competitive ballroom events in the world.

As an instructor, Doug has spent years teaching dancers of all ages and experience levels. Whether helping a wedding couple create an unforgettable first dance, coaching competitive students toward ambitious goals, or choreographing creative showcase performances, he is known for combining technical excellence with an encouraging and supportive teaching style.

Doug's greatest passion is helping students discover what they are capable of achieving. His goal is not only to teach people how to dance, but to inspire confidence, create lasting memories, and ensure that the joy of dancing remains at the heart of every lesson.

Elena Izotova, Fox Ballroom instructor

Elena Izotova

Owner & Instructor

Elena Izotova is a ballroom dance professional, certified yoga instructor, and aerial arts coach with a lifelong passion for movement, performance, and helping others build confidence through physical expression.

Born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Elena began ballroom dancing at the age of 12 and spent years training in Rhythm, Smooth, and Club Style dances. Her extensive dance background has given her a deep understanding of musicality, posture, partner connection, body mechanics, and the technical foundations that allow dancers to move with confidence and grace.

At Fox Ballroom, Elena works with students of all experience levels, from complete beginners taking their first steps onto the dance floor to experienced dancers looking to refine their technique. Her patient and encouraging teaching style helps students feel comfortable while developing the skills needed to become confident social dancers and performers.

In addition to ballroom dance, Elena is a certified yoga instructor specializing in Yin Yoga, where she focuses on flexibility, mobility, recovery, mindfulness, and overall wellness. Her knowledge of movement and body awareness allows her to help students improve not only their dancing, but also their strength, balance, and physical well-being.

Elena also teaches Aerial Lyra (Hoop) and Aerial Silks, combining athleticism, artistry, and creativity to help students safely explore aerial movement in a supportive environment.

Students appreciate Elena's calm demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to break down complex movements into approachable steps. Whether teaching ballroom dance, yoga, or aerial arts, her goal is to create an enjoyable learning experience that helps every student feel stronger, more confident, and empowered to achieve their goals.

When she's not teaching, Elena continues to study movement, wellness, and performance disciplines, bringing fresh knowledge and enthusiasm to every lesson she teaches.
